Killing Pablo: Biography and ultimatum of the notorious Pablo Escobar by Markus Bowden

Pablo Escobar Garcia was one of the most infamous drug lord’s of the Columbian cocaine emperor. The legend was born in a violent era of his suburb in the second year called “la Violenca” or the violence. He was born on December 1, 1949 into a lower-middle class family. As a boy Pablo grew up in the suburb of Antioquia, Columbia.  His Mother Hemilda Gavira, a striving house wife and Father Abel De Jesus Escobar was a farmer and had a son for his farm. He only wanted two kids. He had a brother Emilio Escobar and Many aunts and uncles. As a young man, he was spirited to be driven and ambitious, telling known associates (friends and family) that he wanted to be a delegate or person of power such as the President of Colombia some day. During his childhood, people were scared to socialize in the streets in fear for their lives.

Pablo or Paul’s childhood was a major influence in his decisions that ultimately set his judgment in doing illegal money making enterprises. He dropped his public school due to being bullied. At the age of 5 his interest was already money. This was due to a large respect of his father Abel. His father came from the dirt as one would say being poor and with nothing. His family was mostly killed due to outspreaded violence of political and social standpoints. As the father being a trade farmer, Pablo therefore wanted to surpass his fathers’ state of both financial and social condition. At the age of 8 he was already “hustling” or looking for client based income from an illegal substance known as Columbian Cocaine. He started at a young age, but in a country bound to default during the 40’s 50’s and 60’s he was determined to become again a high social aspect. Respected, Trusted within, and powerful. He wanted a lot of Horsepower or authority, both legally and illegally.
5.Anecdotes, 6.Hobbies, Interests and activities

Pablo Escobar got his start as a street thug or criminal that would go to local cemeteries and steal tombstones due to the material made such as marble and granite. Then he would etch the names off, and resell them to crooked religious men and local cemeteries. As he perfected his motivation of a source of income he became dedicated to cars. In the 1970’s he achieved his path to wealth power and a drug source. He would buy coca paste (substance not yet dehydrated and sold for less due to heavier water weight) in Bolivia and Peru, refine and dehydrate it then transport it for sale in the US and parts of the E.U. His Hobbies would mostly be playing golf and being a known party attraction. His interest was simply Money and power. Then came his women which he married 5 times and had two kids with the first. His activities would simply be illegal or wrong but successful in the eyes of economists. His accumulated Net worth or total income earnings would arise to 25 billion US dollars annually.

Pablo Franscios Career and reason for fame co-op with each other. As discussed earlier he was infamous for his radical methods of success illegally. He only used drugs young but soon after his childhood life was changed as he discovered the most successful drugloard’s do not use their substances rather only sell.

As the years progressed Pablo realized that his times were too good. He went through many legal problems with the United states and Columbian official’s. He was sentenced to prison in 1979 when Columbian intelligence found 150 million US dollars in one of his estates and his cover was eventually blown when the origin of his money became an issue of Columbian public debate. Many questioned his wealth to be illegal and unjust worthy that he let the Columbian suffer as he had a huge chunk of Columbian wealth. Pablo Escobar was known as the second biggest drug lord at the time right under Frank Lucas or the Atlanta Heroin Master(AHM).  Pablo Escobar met his fate in December of 1991 as Columbian officials partnered up with US counter Drug Enforcement (now known as DEA) and raided his 32 Million dollar mansion In the Heart of Columbian. 2 agents took his last breath- “I will live in wealth forever”.
